Merry Christmas from the team at Advanced Airbrush!
Firstly we would like to sincerely thank everyone for their support throughout a great 2016.
We’ve had many highlights this year –
• Our successful recent trip to England, where Wayne was a special guest at Kustom Kulture Blast Off 2016, performing body painting and also running workshops with Del Stainton at The Custom Paint Shop at Bernard Castle. We are looking at returning to England and doing it all again in 2017.
• Earlier in the year we visited Perth, putting on a great display at Bunbury TAFE – Airbrushing a bonnet with Dave from RD Motorcycles for the TAFE and speaking with students and visitors. Wayne also flew to Cairns and completed another plane for Border Security, for whom he has now airbrushed the full fleet of Border Security planes. He also held a 3 day workshop for Beginner and Advanced students.
• Pictured above – Wayne was very honoured and privileged to have had the chance to meet with Chip Foose at 3M, with the launch of their new training centre. Wayne also had the chance to ask Chip some questions his Facebook fans had requested, and posted a video of the conversation which you can view on our blog post here.
• This year Wayne received his TAE Certificate IV in Training & Assessing, and we launched new training programmes and new additions to our workshops. We are currently hosting renowned international artist Dru Blair at our Sydney and Perth locations, for his third time back in Penrith currently teaching the Textures and Pin-Up Girl classes, and his very first time in Perth for the upcoming Male Portraiture class. Among our students is also a visitor from India, Sajel, who has completed a 2-week course with Wayne and also participated in Dru’s Texture class.
We have many new projects for next year and exciting developments that will be announced as things are finalised. Our teaching side of Airbrushing is expanding – Advanced Airbrush will not only have Wayne as head teacher but will be hosting several other top Australian Airbrush artists and running specialty classes throughout the year. Artists and dates will be announced early January. We would like to thank everyone that has participated in all our past workshops and we look forward to seeing returning students and newcomers at our upcoming dates next year.
Wayne’s time is now split between his commitments in Penrith and Perth. Not only are we continuing business as usual in Penrith, but we are also expanding the business into Perth. Wayne will continue to work between the two locations and as such, bookings will be essential for all work. To view all of Wayne’s latest work, please view our Portfolio and Artwork pages and keep an eye out for more exciting additions to come.
Important – Advanced Airbrush Penrith will be closed from December 20th to January 27th. The Airbrush Shop front will also be closed however the online store will continue operating as normal. Last orders for Christmas will be taken on the 19th of December and the online store will reopen again from the 2nd of January.
Once again we thank all of you for your support and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
